Glass Tree

My parents recently built an addition onto their house which includes a new bathroom with a cool octagonal window. I like doing the occasional stained glass project and my mother thought the previously mentioned window would be good space to include one. It's not perfect, but I think it turned out better than my last stained glass piece, and it looks really nice in my parents bathroom (this photo was taken at my house before it was installed, in case there was any confusion). I can't take all the credit since my mom picked out all the glass and I think she chose some really nice colors and textures.

I think it's so cool that you've branched out (ha ha - get it? okay, that was lame...) in your artwork. Seriously though, this is awesome. I'm impressed because you haven't been doing stained-glass for that long. You never cease to amaze me.

Wow... very cool. I didn't even know you worked in glass.

This turned out awesome. Like I said before, you should design windows as a side job. I bet it would be pretty lucrative.

Now that is COOL. You have such a talent for this kind of design...logos, icons and simple graphics, seems to come so easy for you. You are an artist and craftsman. Very nice Kevin, I bet that'll become a family treasure, something your parents won't include in the sale of the house.

An amazing collaboration Kevin! Beautiful work, the textures make all the differance. Do you make the design on a pane of glass big enough to fit in the frame then replace the existing glass or does it 'glue' onto the existing glass? Never done this before, but I might look into it now that I can see the amazing stuff that can be done with glass. This would be a fine addition to any house.

Wow - you've got some KILLER recent posts here! The tree layout below is simply fantastic, the pirate sketch is hilarious, and this stained glass window is a great piece of work seemingly out of left field! You got a really varied skill set. And yeah, your mother really chose the right textures for this, it seems. I really love the sky and grass textures!

It somehow doesn't surprise me that you are good at stained glass. You always have such great linear designs. This is beautiful.
