Bloodborne Sketch

Fear the old blood.

The Frontier Lawman and the Deputized Dinosaur

Rose and the Silver Ghost

The fourth and final book in the Rose series.  I've loved working on these covers, I think it's some of my best work (and they're good books).  Check this one out here.

Hardy Boys Adventures: Shadows at Predator Reef and Deception on the Set

A few of these have come out and I haven't posted them yet, so here we are.  I've also realized that I've never mentioned the art director I've worked with for these, Karin Paprocki.  She's awesome and deserves a lot of credit for how these have turned out.

I love sharks (from a distance) so I had fun with this one.  All cool colors.  Check it out here.

This one takes place on a movie set so I was going for a big Hollywood style explosion. I pointed out the cool colors on the last one because of all the warm colors here, it's kinda cool to see them side by side like this.  Amazon link!

Masterminds

Another book cover, this one was fun because of all the different scenarios together in one image.  Buy the book here.

The Signal

An illustration I did for Clubhouse Magazine.

Twisted Toy Shop

Old Lionel Rexburger, the elf who makes the toys no kids want.  Happy Black Friday!

Thorin Oakenshield and the Battle of Five Armies

Vin

I've been reading (and loving) the Mistborn Trilogy lately, so I drew the main character:

Also, if you like my sketches I'm featured in a book called Sketching from the Imagination: Fantasy.  I was sent a copy and it's pretty great, I'b buy it even if I weren't in there.  There are a lot of incredible artists and a wide variety of styles on display.  Check it out here.

Balance Keepers: The Fires of Calderon

A book cover I illustrated from an exciting new YA series.  This one was a lot of fun!

Check it out here.

Rose and the Magician's Mask

The third cover I've done for the excellent Rose series.  Buy the book here.

Dinodystopia (and I'm now on Tumblr)!

This is my contribution to our latest Avalanche Blog topic "Dinodystopia."  The Avalanche Blog has moved to Tumblr, so I've decided to get a Tumblr account too.  I'll still be posting to this blog but if you'd rather follow me on Tumblr, do so here: kkeeleart.tumblr.com

Chalk the Block 2014!

This has become something I look forward to all year.  So much fun!  Thanks to my old man, my little brother, and his wife for being such great collaborators!

Ezekeele

American frontiersman, conqueror, inventor, pioneer, demigod (don't worry if you don't get it, it's an inside joke with my brothers).  Special thanks to my bro. Jake for reminding us of his greatness through a fireside ballad.

Odysseus (and all six heads of Scylla)

This is the second cover I've done for the Myth-O-Mania series.  I love Greek mythology and these have been so much fun to do.  You can buy the book here.

.

The Castle Behind Thorns

A cover I did for a book by Merrie Haskell who has a knack for coming up with exceptional imagery that is really fun to paint!  Check out the book here.

Hardy Boys Adventures: The Battle of Bayport

My latest Hardy Boys cover.  Check it out here.

Sketchbook April '14

Sketchy Viking

This was a commissioned by an awesome guy up in the great country of Canada.  He framed it and hung it on his wall, making me feel like a totally cool, real, and actual artist!  Thanks Mark!

Rose and the Lost Princess

This is the second cover I've done for the Rose series.  They've been very fun to work on and the books are great.  Check it out here.
