Bella

This is a protrait of my neighbor's kid I just finished. I've never really tried a portrait of a child before and in doing so I now realize why they are so rarely done well - they're hard! It took me 3 previous attempts and many long hours to finish something I was happy with. Thankfully, they also like it.

That looks really good Kev, and again I love the way you do your hair.
also for art class I'm trying to re-create you 'Joker.'

This really turned out great. It was interesting for me to see your whole artistic process as you worked with this one, seeing how each attempt progressed to getting what you wanted - even though it was frustrating for you at times. Anyway, I hope the difficulty of doing this one won't discourage you from doing one of Max (pretty please?). Beautiful work.

Kudos. Good portraits are hard to do. Way to stick to it.

We still have the portrait you did of us hanging above our mantel.

Doing portraits of relatives and particularly women is one of the hardest things for an artist. Great job, her facial expression is beautiful.
