Captain Ahab

"..the madness, the frenzy, the boiling blood and the smoking brow, with which, for a thousand lowerings old Ahab has furiously, foamingly chased his prey-more a demon than a man!"

This is incredible, Kev. I was so excited to see that you had posted it. I absolutely love all the lines on his face - the scars, the wrinkles, everything. And those eyes say so much! I also see that you made the deck of the ship red from whale blood (graphic, but effective - makes sense on a whaling ship).

You've really outdone yourself. Awesome work. I promise I will read Moby-Dick someday!

Call me Dave,
Wow, that is a glowing critique from your wife, no bias there.
Now from an unbiased source- this is pure genius, absolutely brilliant. I love everything about it and you have put in the time to keep it from the smeary saturation that we talked about. Ounce again, brilliant man.

Fan-tastic. Meaning, it's tastic and I'm a fan.
Great emotion to the image.

I was going to do a Captain Ahab after watching Moby Dick, but I never got around to it, and i'm Glad i didn't, because this would've blown it out of the water.

Is there anything you can't do. Truly amazing Kevin. Is that blood he's standing in? Great emotion. Captain Ahab really hates that beast of a whale.

Again Amazing.

agreed!
And I see that whale in the clouds. You can't fool me with subliminal messaging.

This is amazing Kev. Seriously, I love everything about it, from the scars on his face to the textures throughout. Great stuff as always.

What can I say, that hasn't already been said. Perhaps how the harpoon is aimed right at the whale cloud. Awesome as usual.
