The Evil Lord of Destruction!

I've never loved anything the way I loved He-Man when I was 5-7 years old. This was when I called Saturday - Cartoon Day. My brother and I would get up so early Saturday mornings that we would watch the color code thing until the broadcast would start at about 6 am and be swept away in a blissful haze of terrible animation and toy commercials for 4 hours. Smurfs, Thundarr the Barbarian, Transformers, Thundercats, Voltron, and, of course, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. The 80's was a great time to be a kid.

  2. Ahhhh...the 80's. It was good to be a kid then - plus, we can't be held responsible for the ugly fashions and hairstyles of the day (blame our moms instead). And, of course, the 80's had Reagan, but we were too young to appreciate him then.

You really should do a picture of She-Ra. I had the Crystal Castle, her see-through horse, the boat, her nemesis Evilyn. She was awesome. Good times - wish I hadn't donated it all to the D.I.

  3. THIS IS AWESOME! I love your work! I love the detail and I too was an 80's kid. I always thought He-man and She-rah should've gotten married. As I child I never fully got the concept they were brother and sister. Maybe that is too much information....

  9. I can almost hear the evil cackle!

The 80s are but an era of legends for me--though the 90s did have some decent cartoons, too, even if I couldn't fully appreciate Animaniacs until years after they were taken off the air. :(

  10. Great style and lighting effects. I have to say though, this Skeletor is far better than the Saturday morning cartoon Skeletor. Also I want more Halloween stuff.

  17. I so loved He-Man as a kid! Mom wouldn't let us watch it. Apparently it made us stupider.

If you haven't seen it, there's this:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8Nc8RCLy1s You can just feel your brain cells disappearing.
